Jacob Lloyd got himself back on the winning trail in emphatic fashion in his latest professional bout, producing a composed and confident performance that showed clear development in his pro career. Fighting on BCB Promotions’ Friday night show at WV Active Aldersley, Lloyd took on Ryan Labourn over four rounds and controlled the contest from the opening bell. Using a steady jab, smart movement and sustained pressure, Lloyd boxed maturely throughout, picking his shots well and finishing strongly as the fight wore on. All four rounds were awarded in his favour, with the referee scoring it 40–36 to Lloyd.
The win was an important response after suffering the first loss of his professional career in his previous outing. Rather than rushing his work, Lloyd showed patience and discipline, sticking to the game plan and steadily breaking his opponent down. It was a performance that highlighted both his mental resilience and his growing understanding of the professional ranks, giving his team plenty of positives to build on moving forward.
